PTA - How can I help?

Did you know that whenever you buy anything online - from your weekly shop to your annual holiday - you could be collecting free donations for Roxwell Primary School?

Easyfundraising gives up to 15% donation to the school from every purchase you make. There are over 3,000 shops and sites on board ready to make a donation, including Amazon, John Lewis, Aviva, The Trainline, Next, Debenhams and Sainsbury's – it doesn't cost you a penny extra!

1. Head to https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/roxwellprimary/ and join for free.

2. Every time you shop online, go to Easyfundraising first to find the site you want and start shopping.

3. After you’ve checked out, that retailer will make a donation to your good cause for no extra cost whatsoever!

There are no catches or hidden charges and the School can really benefit from the donations.

How have the PTA spent the money raised?

Last year the funds raised by the PTA provided new classroom resources such as books, play equipment, swimming equipment and a new outdoor canopy as well as providing transport to various school events.  We were also able to fund the school leavers’ bowling trip.

Our current major funding project is the purchase of a new PA system for use at the school production and sports days.

Contacting the PTA

We are all approachable whether it’s in the playground, by email (admin@roxwell.essex.sch.uk) or messages left at the office.

Any support you can give us will be extremely appreciated.

Thank You

Committee Meetings

Meetings are held monthly and are open to any parent with a child at the school who would like to attend. We are always pleased to welcome new faces with new ideas which are vital in ensuring our continued success. Elected members generally attend the majority of meetings and non-elected members are welcome to attend as many or as few as they would like to.

How you can help?

Multiple heads are certainly better than a few. The committee members have busy lives which is why we need support and ideas from as many of you as possible! If you would like to join our brilliant team and get involved in some fun and exciting fundraising planning for our children then please do get in touch.

If you would rather not commit to regular meetings there are many other ways you can help:

  • Volunteering:  without the help of other parents many of our events would not be possible. Every little bit helps, so even if it’s just an hour to help set up/clear up or donate a cake it is all gratefully received;

  • Passing on useful contacts:  do you work for or know a company that may be able to assist us? We have to buy various things for our events including cold drinks, tea/coffee, lucky dip presents, wine and prizes - would your company be willing to sponsor us to help with these purchases.
