What are you doing for the Jubilee celebrations?
I was delighted to see some, ‘Yarn bombing’ in Writtle this morning as I posted a birthday card. We, as a school, are really looking forward to celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee on Friday, 27th May 2022. It will be the perfect way to end the half term. We invited the Queen, earlier in the year, but guessed that she was really busy and will not be able to attend on Friday. However, we have our new Mayor as a special guest and our retired vicar Rev Hugh as our other special guest. Rev Hugh has undergone some serious medical intervention recently, and has made a fantastic recovery, so it will be great to be able to celebrate his good health on Friday. We will plant a tree in honour of the Queen and celebrate with music and cakes. We are hoping the weather is bright and sunny and that everyone enjoys being at our school and celebrating this wonderful occasion. What are you doing to honour our Queen?
