Can dancing make us feel good?
Dancing and all forms of exercise have been proven to improve mood and give everyone the ‘feel good factor.’ Dancing is also a complex form of exercise, ensuring that you need to remember a combination of moves, listen to the strict beat of the music and perform to an audience. I think dancing is good for the memory.
Some of our children had a wonderful time performing and sharing their own dance moves. Performing and sharing to a learnt sequence in front of a small group or a large audience, takes lot of courage and perseverance. These are great skills to learn as a young child and develop as an adult. Dancing, therefore, is a life skill!
